The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through Civil Protection and Firefighters in coordination with the Secretariat of the Navy, maintains an active search and location protocol for a person reported missing in the Cerro del Faro area, near the blowhole. This follows a request for support issued by the Port Captaincy, immediately activating coordination mechanisms with the Municipal Police and deploying Lifeguard personnel, without positive results so far.
Search efforts continue permanently through land patrols by Civil Protection, as well as maritime patrols carried out by the Secretariat of the Navy.
