The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the ZOFEMAT Directorate and in coordination with nautical service providers, snorkelers, oyster farmers, and street vendors, carried out a cleanup day at Arrocito Beach, with the objective of fostering environmental awareness and promoting citizen actions for the care of the natural environment.
During the activity, 8.465 kg of inorganic waste and 16.370 kg of organic waste were collected, preventing these wastes from reaching the ocean and affecting marine ecosystems.
This effort contributes to keeping the beaches of Bahías de Huatulco clean and safe, strengthening sustainable and responsible management of our natural spaces.
