The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (ZOFEMAT), reports that, with the objective of keeping the beach strip free of solid waste, preventing marine pollution, reducing health risks, and maintaining an orderly image for residents and visitors, periodic cleaning actions were carried out on Santa Cruz Beach, also contributing to the fulfillment of the quality criteria required by the Blue Flag certification.
As a result of this effort, 10,570 kilograms of waste were collected (7,270 kg inorganic and 3,300 kg organic), with the participation of street vendors and service providers, strengthening the responsible management of our coastline.
