It was an event full of tradition and warmth that showcased the culinary skills, creativity and cooking secrets passed down through generations by older adults from our municipality.

The institution’s chair, Lic. Jazmín Villar, warmly congratulated all participants for sharing their recipes and stories, extending special recognition to those who earned the top places in the contest:

  1. Victoria Aragón López, with her traditional red chicken mole.
  2. Magdalena Cruz Acevedo, with roasted fish and shrimp broth.
  3. Roberta Domínguez Hernández, with tichinda coloradito.

Likewise, the honorary president expressed her deep appreciation to Mrs. Hermelinda Ruíz Cruz and Mr. Felipe Vázquez López, who were honored as the municipality’s longest-living residents and crowned during this important festive week. Through these actions, the organization concluded a program aimed at upholding the dignity, memory and example of strength embodied by Huatulco families.
