The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Directorate of Rural Development, in coordination with personnel from SENASICA, the National Confederation of Livestock Organizations, and the Local Livestock Association, held an informative talk aimed at producers in the livestock sector of the municipality.
The objective was to provide knowledge about the identification, prevention, and treatment of wounds caused by the screwworm, a pest that represents a significant sanitary risk for livestock.
During the session, kits for taking samples were distributed, reinforcing surveillance and control actions, as well as the commitment to work together to protect animal health.
These types of training sessions are essential to strengthen the capacities of the rural sector. Livestock farmers are encouraged to stay informed, take precautions, and apply the necessary preventive measures.
