Forest Fire Immediately Addressed to Safeguard Citizen Safety
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, through Civil Protection and Firefighters, addressed a forest fire in Mata Palo, El Ébano, and Aguaje El Zapote. Trained personnel extinguished the fire, which affected one hectare of scrubland.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Civil Protection and Fire Department, immediately responded to a report of a forest fire registered yesterday in the Mata Palo, El Ébano, and Aguaje El Zapote neighborhoods, in the municipality of Santa María Huatulco.
Upon receiving the citizen report, personnel trained in forest fire fighting moved to the location aboard a tanker unit, a light unit, and an ambulance, carrying out control and extinguishing tasks using water, hoses, digging tools, and opening firebreaks. These actions were supported by the Heroic Fire Department of the State, as well as a tanker unit from the Public Works Department. The fire affected approximately one hectare of scrubland and was completely extinguished.
