Thanks to the prompt intervention of emergency services, the successful rescue of 5 tourists at La Bocana Beach, who were at risk of drowning, was achieved.
Emergency protocols were immediately activated, coordinating efforts between Huatulco Civil Protection and Firefighters, ENSAR Marina, Port Captaincy, and Mexican Red Cross, as well as the support of lifeguards and community members who provided initial assistance. Due to wave conditions, the rescue was carried out by sea using boats and a jet ski, successfully keeping the victims afloat and safely transporting them to shore.
State and Municipal Police elements also provided support at the scene, maintaining order and safeguarding the area.
Citizens and visitors are urged to heed authorities' recommendations and respect beach safety instructions to prevent risky situations.
