The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, in coordination with the Bahía Santa Cruz Sports Fishing Club and with the valuable support of the Oaxaca State Tourism Secretariat, successfully celebrated the awards ceremony of the 33rd edition of the 2025 International Marlin Fishing Tournament.
This event, in addition to bringing together hundreds of participants and visitors, positions Huatulco as a world-class destination for sport fishing. Despite an incident with one of the boats, thanks to the joint effort of Civil Protection, the Secretary of the Navy, the Port Captaincy, the Municipal Police, volunteer fishermen and the State Government Hangar, all the crew members were located safely.
We deeply thank all the attendees, as well as those who made this great event possible, which promotes sports, coexistence and sustainable tourism on our coast.
