With the objective of preventing waste accumulation, protecting marine fauna, and maintaining tourist areas in optimal conditions, a cleaning day was carried out at Santa Cruz Beach, addressing the sandy strip and common use areas.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through ZOFEMAT, in coordination with restaurateurs, nautical service providers, street vendors, and elements of the Twentieth Naval Zone, joined efforts to keep our beaches clean, orderly, and safe.
During this day, 33 kg of waste (28 kg organic and 4 kg inorganic) were collected, contributing to the conservation of the marine ecosystem and the strengthening of a responsible environmental culture.
