The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, through the ZOFEMAT Directorate, carried out a general cleaning day at Maguey Beach with the aim of preserving the sandy strip, accesses, and adjacent areas in optimal conditions for the enjoyment of visitors and service providers. During the work, 78 kilograms of waste were collected, of which 16 kg were organic and 62 kg inorganic.
This activity involved restaurateurs, nautical service providers, street vendors, snorkelers, and oyster farmers, who joined forces to maintain clean, safe, and orderly spaces. These actions contribute to preventing the accumulation and dispersion of waste, strengthening the care of the coastal environment and promoting cleaner beaches for everyone.
