Water Quality Review and Infection Hotspots in Huatulco

The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco has initiated sanitary surveillance to prevent post-Hurricane Erick diseases, evaluating water quality and infection hotspots.

The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Health Directorate and in coordination with the National Center for Preventive Programs and Disease Control (CENAPRECE), has initiated sanitary surveillance actions to prevent diseases derived from contamination after Hurricane Erick.

With nationally specialized personnel, random samplings are being carried out to evaluate water quality, detect potential mosquito breeding grounds, and monitor the presence of febrile diseases.

The population is urged to remain calm and collaborate with the brigades in this important preventive work.
