Timely Response to Public Transport Fire in Huatulco

The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through Civil Protection and Huatulco Firefighters, responded to a fire reported in a transport unit belonging to the Rápidos de Pochutla company, in the community of El Zapote, municipality of Santa María Huatulco.

Thanks to the swift action of a construction truck that was in the area, it was possible to begin controlling the fire using a water hose.

Subsequently, response personnel arrived to fully control and extinguish the fire.

During the intervention, the vehicle's battery, which was preventing the complete suppression of the flames, was disconnected. Finally, cooling efforts were carried out with a hose line to prevent re-ignition.

Authorities reiterate their commitment to safety and immediate response to any emergency.
