Bi-weekly Cleaning at La Entrega Beach: Commitment to the Environment
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco conducted a bi-weekly cleaning at La Entrega Beach, collecting 31 kg of waste to preserve the marine environment.
As part of the bi-weekly scheduled work, the Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, led by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through ZOFEMAT and in coordination with street vendors from La Entrega Beach, carried out a cleaning day with the objective of keeping our beaches free of waste and preserving the marine-coastal environment.
During the activity, 17.805 kg of inorganic waste and 13.390 kg of organic waste were collected, mostly carried by tides or generated by human activity.
These actions are fundamental to prevent issues such as bad odors, proliferation of vectors, and visual deterioration of the landscape, reinforcing the commitment to environmental care and the conservation of our natural spaces.
