General Cleanup at La Entrega Beach
The Municipal Government of Huatulco, through ZOFEMAT, conducted a cleanup at La Entrega Beach, collecting 141.920 kg of waste with local support.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, presided over by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, through the Municipal ZOFEMAT directorate, carried out a general cleanup day at La Entrega Beach, with the objective of removing solid waste from the beach area, mangroves, and storm drains, preventing damage to marine biodiversity, and strengthening the environmental and tourist image of this important destination.
During this activity, 141.920 kilograms of waste were collected, of which 63.690 kg were organic and 78.230 kg inorganic, thanks to the coordinated work between restaurateurs, nautical service providers, street vendors, snorkelers, and taxi drivers from Sitio Vicente Guerrero, demonstrating that joint participation is key to environmental care and building a cleaner Huatulco.
