Huatulco Present at the Chamber of Deputies
Huatulco's Municipal Government seeks federal aid at the Chamber of Deputies after Hurricane Erick. A disaster declaration was requested to channel resources for reconstruction.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco continues to manage support for citizens affected by Hurricane Erick. Representing the municipality, a visit was made to the Federal Legislative Power, in the Chamber of Deputies, where meetings were held with legislators such as Carol Altamirano, Raúl Bolaños, and the president of the LXVI Legislature, Deputy Sergio Gutiérrez Luna.
During this meeting, a point of agreement was requested to declare Huatulco and other affected municipalities a disaster and emergency zone, with the aim of channeling resources for the reconstruction of roads, housing, infrastructure, and support for the agricultural sector.
Likewise, an urgent call was made to assist at-risk communities such as Puente de Coyula and Bajos de Coyula, in addition to requesting an on-site visit to verify the damages.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco reiterates its commitment to continue firmly managing before federal instances, also requesting the direct intervention of the President of the Republic, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, so that aid reaches those who need it most.
