Huatulco Commemorated International Women's Day
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco commemorated International Women's Day on March 8. Awards were presented to outstanding women.
The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, through the Municipal DIF System and in coordination with the Municipal Institute for Women, commemorated International Women's Day on March 8 at the Municipal Palace.
Lic. Jazmín Villar, Honorary President of the Municipal DIF System, led the event accompanied by her husband, Ing. Julio Cárdenas, Municipal President, where they presented awards to outstanding women of the municipality. Also, together with members of the municipal council, they formed the jury for the Poster Contest alluding to the date, in which third-grade students from Technical Secondary School No. 61, General Secondary School José Vasconcelos of Santa María Huatulco and the New Creation Technical Secondary School No. 80 of Santa Cruz Huatulco participated.
The Municipal Government reaffirmed its commitment to women and girls to continue building a more just and egalitarian society, free of violence and discrimination.
