The Municipal Government of Santa María Huatulco, headed by Eng. Julio Cárdenas, invites the public to maintain constant care and inspection of their pets to prevent cases of Screwworm, a disease that puts the health of dogs and cats at risk.

It is recommended to check pets daily, keep their vaccinations and deworming up to date, and immediately consult a veterinarian for any wound or symptom of infection.
